EUFAMI and the FAMILY Project are happy to share the official invitation for our First Stakeholder Dialogue Event, focusing on ethical aspects and social consequences of prediction of risk of mental illness.
Date: 17 January 2024
Time: 3 - 5 PM (CET)
Location: online, via ZOOM (free of charge)
Registration: via this link: www.tinyurl.com/StakeholderDialogueEvent
The aim of the first Stakeholder Dialogue Event is to build a dialogue between the European communities of health care professionals and researchers on ethical aspects and social consequences of prediction of risk of mental illness. Risk prediction for mental health problems is a prominent focus of research in psychiatry. However, risk prediction comes with ethical and social challenges, such as questions about informed consent, the right not to know, risk of stigmatisation and discrimination, empowerment and strengthening resilience of affected families, responsible use of Artificial Intelligence etc.
One of the envisaged outcomes of FAMILY are ethical guidelines on prediction of risk of mental illness for health care professionals involved in care of affected families. Mapping and evaluation of attitudes and opinions of health care professionals are critical for successful development of these guidelines.
The main objective of this stakeholder event is to gather feedback about views, needs and potential involvement of health care professionals, which will serve as input for the planned FAMILY survey for health care professionals across Europe.
We are looking forward to your presence and your valuable contributions to this important conversation.
Registration is open until 10 January 2024, it is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we invite you to register early!
Please forward this e-mail and invitation to everyone who might be interested! Thank you!
